The Church Leadership Team
Pastor Mike Tuttiett became a Christian and was baptized at High Road Baptist Church in Ilford in 1983. He was actively involved in membership there until God called him to join Little Ilford Baptist Church in 1986.
Mike was appointed to the diaconate of LIBC in 1988. Then in 2000 the church recognised that God was calling Mike to be its Pastor. He serves as part of LIBC's leadership team alongside Bill Smith, Cynthia Gibbons, Dele Akintide, Sonia Tuttiett and Isaac Akano.
Together the team members bring a breadth of spiritual gifting and Christian experience, along with a depth of maturity and great love for God's people.
Their approach to the leadership of the church is guided by the words of Jesus:
"Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:26-28 New Living Translation)
